10 Budget Beauty Secrets - 100% Natural

1. MILK & HONEY

Milk and honey sounds like a bedtime drink you give a child and indeed it is a delightful drink. For more than 2,000 years milk and honey have been used for skin care. Egyptian queen, Cleopatra, is said to have taken regular milk baths, and we all know what effect she had on men!

Honey, when applied directly to the skin acts as a humectant, meaning it attracts and holds moisture within the skin. Honey helps reduce wrinkles, keep up the skin's elasticity, heal wounds, reduce inflammation and prevent scarring. Milk when applied to the skin, acts as a moisturizer and also has soothing properties. Together, they can reduce the effects of ageing and keep the skin looking fresh and beautiful.

TRY THIS: Combine equal parts of milk and honey to make a nutrient-rich mask for your face, neck and chest.

2. AVOCADOS

Avocados are rich in vitamins, especially vitamin E, good fatty acids and antioxidants.

The vitamin E in avocado is a potent antioxidant which mops up free radicals and slows down the signs of ageing, while the high fat content makes it an excellent moisturizer. Avocado also has soothing properties - ideal for skin that is easily irritated.

TRY THIS: Make a simple avocado face mask by applying the pulp of half an avocado directly to your skin. Leave on for five minutes (a bit longer for more mature skins), then rinse off with lukewarm water. To fight dry skin, apply an avocado mask once a week.

3. YOGHURT

Natural white yoghurt is a milk product rich in protein, zinc, healthy bacteria and lactic acid.

Helps clear up blemishes, treat fungal infections, tighten pores, and exfoliate and moisturize skin.

TRY THIS: Apply yoghurt evenly on your face and neck and leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. For a super zesty facial, combine yoghurt with honey or fruits such as strawberries. Avoid sweetened and flavoured varieties of yoghurt as they contain ingredients that can irritate the skin.

4. EGGS

Eggs are rich in protein, choline and lutein, for centuries used to moisture both hair and skin. It might seem a bit strange to have eggs on your hair or face, especially if it is your first time and you find the smell repulsive but the benefits you derive might just convince you to do it again.

Eating an egg a day will help your heart, brain, eyes, skin, nails and hair. What's more, if you replace your starchy breakfast with a protein rich egg, you will feel full for longer - and you will lose weight. Applied topically, the white of an egg helps tighten and tone your skin, while the egg yolk makes a great hair conditioner.

TRY THIS: Make an egg mask by separating the egg white from the yolk. Beat up the egg white a little until it gets foamy, then apply it directly to your skin, avoiding the sensitive eye area. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. For drier skin, mix egg white with equal parts honey and olive oil.

TIP# Use egg yolk to make a rich conditioner for your hair; either use it as is or add a few drops of olive oil to the yolk if your hair is really dry. Leave it on for five minutes and rinse.

5. OATMEAL

Oatmeal is not only a great breakfast cereal, it has a long history of being valued for skin care. Egyptians used oats to beautify their skins as early as 2000 BC.

Oatmeal is a cheap, natural and effective exfoliant which is gentle enough even for sensitive skin. Oats contain polysaccharides, which become gelatinous in water and leave a fine protective film on the skin, preventing dull flaky dryness. Oats are also full of healthy lubricating fats which moisturize your skin and, also, have natural cleansers called saponins that gently remove dirt and oil from the pores.

TRY THIS: To make an oatmeal exfoliating face mask, mix a tablespoon of oat flour with two tablespoons of hot water. Avoiding the eyes, apply to the skin, leave for five minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water. For more benefits add a few drops of honey to the mask.

6. BANANAS

Bananas are a healthy addition to your diet and your skin care regimen. The pulp is good for topical application, but if you really want to get the full benefits of this yummy tropical fruit, eat the banana and use the peel for your skin.

Banana peels are chock-full of antioxidants, lutein, fatty acids, vitamin C, potassium and anti-bacterial properties. The inside of the banana skins used to treat skin blemishes, the effects of sun damage, eczema - even psoriasis. Other skin benefits include reducing inflammation, increasing circulation, boosting collagen production, reducing appearance of wrinkles, preventing new ones from forming.

TRY THIS: Gently rub your clean skin with banana peel. Leave on as long as you can before rinsing your face with lukewarm water.

7. VINEGAR

The use of vinegar - usually combined with variety of plants or essential oils - for cosmetic purposes traced back to the Romans and was fashionable during to 19th Century as vinegar de toilette.

Vinegar is mildly antiseptic, so can prevent the growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi on the skin. It helps restore the natural acidity of the skin, which causes problems such as dryness, itching, flaking and acne. Mixed with onion juice, vinegar may help reduce age spots. For best results, use only top quality cider vinegar.

TRY THIS: Oily skin? Try this easy apple cider toner. Mix 2 tablespoons of apple cider with 2 tablespoons of distilled water. Avoiding the eye area, apply the toner to your face with cotton pad. Rinse with lukewarm.

8. MAYONNAISE

Mayonnaise is perfect in a potato salad but did you know that it has three wonderfully beneficial beauty ingredients? YES: vegetable oil, eggs and vinegar.

With oil and eggs to moisturize, and vinegar to lift off dead skin cells, a mayonnaise mask is a great way to give dry skin a beautiful boost.

TRY THIS: Take half a cup of mayonnaise and place it in a bowl. Allow it to rest for half an hour so it can reach room temperature. Then apply it to your face. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water.

9. LEMONS

The flesh and zest (skin) of lemons for centuries used to flavour food and drinks - even to bleach and clean household objects. Women who diet swear that drinking lemon water helps them lose weight.

Rich in vitamin C, lemons have powerful grease-cutting and antibacterial properties that make them a perfect acne fighter. The citric acid works as a mild skin peel by removing the outermost layer of the skin and reducing shine, while the bleaching properties help to lighten dark spots on the face and hands.

TRY THIS: Want a toner that will gently remove dead skin cells and show a brighter, smoother complexion? Then try my lemon toner. For ultra-oily skin, cut a lemon in half and gently rub over the oily parts of your face, avoiding the eyes. Rinse off with lukewarm water. For gentler treatment, mix lemon juice with equal parts of distilled water, apply to a cotton pad and dab on your face.

TIP#For an instant straight-from-nature perfume, crush a few freshly picked lemon leaves and place the crushed leaves inside your bra. Wonderful!enzyme

10. PAPAYAS

When explorer Christopher Columbus discovered the papaya on his travels, he described it as "the fruit of the angels." Papayas or paw paws are filled with vitamins, moisturizer and antioxidants, as well as a very special enzyme called papain. Papain has a variety of uses, such as a meat tenderizer, a home remedy for insect bites and a whitener in toothpaste. But it also has amazing skin rejuvenating properties.

Internally, eating papaya will help boost your immune system, protect your eyes from forming cataracts and regulate your digestive system, freeing you from belching and heartburn. Externally, papaya can help reduce wrinkles, protect skin cells from free-radical damage, repair minor wounds and make skin more elastic. Fans of the papaya say even the pips and the back of the tree are beneficial.

TRY THIS: Make a papaya face mask by making a smoothie of papaya pulp and skin (the greener the papaya, the more papain it contains). Gentry smooth it on your face and leave it on for 10 - 15 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.

ReThink Beauty

Question: How do you honestly feel about your body image?

Here is the truth... body image in women, in every woman, is a struggle we face every single day. The magazines on every news stand, in every grocery store, on every shelf, are not helping! There isn't a single magazine I can think of out there that really PROACTIVELY addresses the issues we face, they really only add fuel to the flame.

There is this mentality that we sometimes develop that if we just pretend it doesn't matter then it won't. This past issue on beauty really brought this to my attention. How do we write about what makes us feel beautiful when we don't actually feel beautiful? How do we instill these lessons in our daughters when we still don't have them in ourselves? Why do we feel like hypocrites when it comes to beauty? So we tell ourselves that we don't care about losing twenty pounds, or dressing up, or feeling beautiful. But these are real issues that every woman, Christian or Not, struggles with and we will get nowhere by pretending they shouldn't or don't matter. Because they do!

Every magazine directed towards women does a great job of putting the issues front and center. Magazines sell because they focus on issues that women struggle with. EVERY WOMAN. I won't lie. I am drawn to every article I see on beauty products, tips, losing weight, eating healthy, and fashion. I watch YouTube videos on how to apply make-up, what products to buy, and how to do my hair. I find them interesting and I also enjoy them. I enjoy fashion (I love shopping), I enjoy make-up and getting my hair done, I work out on a regular basis, I watch what I eat, and I feel guilty when I make bad health decisions. I would be a hypocrite if I said I didn't care about all those things. I am a girl and I enjoy girly things! I love to get dressed up and feel beautiful!

Here is the problem. No matter how many hours I spend in front of the mirror, regardless of the videos I watch or the products I buy, I don' feel any more beautiful. What the magazines are selling isn't helping! But I keep buying and keep reading because it's the only source out there focusing on those issues... even if it is in a subtly detrimental way. There is a void in my heart that I just can't seem to fill.

And there it is. It's my heart. The hole, the pain, the desperation, the need to feel beautiful, I feel it in my heart. The definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again expecting to get different results. Up till now I have been insane, and there is a good chance you have been too. We keep doing to the same thing over and over again hoping to feel beautiful. Only we are tricked into thinking it's going to work because there is a new bottle, a new formula, a new cutting edge technology, a new magic wand that is going to transform us into Cinderella with a flick of the wrist and a few magic words. But even Cinderella only had until midnight... So I am ready to try something new. I am ready to work on my beauty from the inside out. This time I am not throwing all the things I love out the window. I am not going to stop wearing make-up or having my hair done, or pretend I don't like shopping. I am not going to shun beauty, I am going to Rethink it.

Rethink Beauty. Let's change the way we think about beauty. Let's change the way we think about losing weight, doing our hair, wearing our make-up, and buying our clothes. Let's start incorporating God into beauty instead of trying to separate the two, after all, He did CREATE it.

It's time we started doing something different.

Beauty Tips For Children - Your Love Makes Them Beautiful

If by chance you see someone giving beauty tips for your children and asking you to use some synthetic products for the purpose, don't listen to such tips and don't regret after not reading them. Children only need your care and love; if they have that, they will be as beautiful as fresh blooming flowers in the garden. Here are a few things that you would want to be careful about while bringing them up.

Beauty Tips For Children

No matter it's the children or grownups, diet is the most crucial role player in health and beauty of a person. It is the fact that Keeping up with a good diet plan will keep your children healthy and beautiful because health is the most beautiful thing to have. However, here are a few more tips to keep your children beautiful and their skin healthy. Remember that trying synthetic products on your children's skin could be problematic so don't do that: you could go for the most renowned and commonly used products.

- Keep Them Clean

Cleanliness is undoubtedly the crucial tip for the children. Usually you don't need to take care of skins of children because they have oily skin. The only thing you just need to handle is to maintain it through proper care. The proper way of maintaining their skin is to use cleansing with mild soap. As we know normally all the children love to play in dirt as well as in mud so, what you should do is to always wash their face, hands and feet as they return home from playing. You should use towel to sponge their skin and always keep in mind that never rub their skin with towel because their skin is sensitive and can be damaged when you rub. If you stick with this routine, your children will never have to face any skin problem.

- Sweet Dreams For Shiny Beams

Sleeping is one thing that many people don't think of when talking about health and beauty. Well, the truth is; if you are not having enough sleep, regardless of whether you are a kid or old fellow, you're going to lose all the freshness of your skin. So, it is your duty to maintain the routine of your children`s sleep. According to research almost 10 to 12 hours sleep is necessary for school-age children and if they get less than it, they get dark ugly circles and puffiness around their innocent eyes and that would be really intolerable for you.

These tips are general but extremely effective for the beauty of your kids since they address their beauty needs externally and internally. Lastly, be sure if you have your love in their reach forever, they will be naturally beautiful.

Beauty Salons That Offer What You Want Through a Creative Process

When you have visited beauty salons, perhaps you do not go in thinking you want a new look. Maybe you decided before you left the house that you were going to stick to what you already had. There is nothing wrong with that. Once you got to the salon, it might have been a different story. You saw the celebrity magazines with the new looks of the year, and maybe you changed your mind. That's okay too. Your beautician should be able to perhaps give you that celebrity look to some degree while keeping the normalcy for which you were looking.

Sometimes going to beauty salons can be frustrating. Maybe you tell them you just want a trim, and you leave with a pixy style that is not suited to you. After that experience you might move on to a new salon, and another, until you finally find a beautician that will actually listen to you.

Beauticians are artists to some degree, so it is their nature to create. They might have a vision for your hair that you do not have. Unfortunately, they should not take the artistic license that a studio artist can take.

They should still stick with what you want. There is no problem though with their suggesting their idea and even showing you a picture. They probably know what they are talking about, but it is ultimately up to you, and they should not jump ahead with their plan without your consent.

Beauty salons vary greatly because many times they are run by one owner, but in the shop are a number of beauticians who rent a space. Although this is not a bad thing, you might get the more professional and experienced cut if you were to go to a privately run salon. If you go to a privately run salon in a small town, it might be combined with the barbershop. In a big city, you will get that modern air that you would expect. A happy medium is probably what most people are looking for.

In order to find what you are looking for, it will probably take a great deal of trial and error. You might get a few pixy cuts or bad color jobs, but eventually, you will find that one beautician who knows what looks good on you, can tell when you are ready for a change, and one that knows when to shut his or her mouth and just cut the way you said you wanted it.

These men and women who work at salons are on their feet all day long striving to do a creative work on people who just want a bob. A good beautician might suggest a creative adjustment, but without your okay will just go with the bob.

In frisco salons can help you find the perfect style to suit your look. To find professionals who can give you the look you want, go to http://www.matthewdillard.com/.

Get The Best Price For Haircuts From A Beauty Salon

Getting my haircut is always an important task for me. To me, my hair always needed to be perfect. Whether it was getting colored, cut, styled, or anything I just adore it. I always want to look my best. In wanting to look my best, I realize I need to go to a beauty salon to get my hair done. My only problem with that is usually beauty salons tend to be a little on the expensive side. I need a beauty salon that was not going to cost me a small fortune.

With that being said, I had a few salons that had good prices for woman's haircut. They were kind of in the bad part of town, but they seemed to do an excellent job with their work. And I was always taught at a young age not to judge something by just how it looks. Because as we all know, looks can definitely be deceiving.

So, I decided to personally go check this one beauty salon out. It was located just a few blocks away from me, which was already a huge plus sign for me. This one, I had read on line that they had very reasonable price for woman's haircut. They tended to start off with a flat rate. Then if you wanted hair washing or hair styling, it was an additional charge. But even with those additional charges, they are still pretty low. I decided that I wanted to get my hair washed, cut, and styled. Now, since my hair was so thick, I do have a little bit of an additional fee due to the fact that it takes longer. I do not mind personally, just an additional charge.

Another thing you can do is bargain with them. See if there are any discounts, whether they are in my room, or if they are even back yet. Sometimes the discounts will make the price for woman's haircut even cheaper. So, I let them experiment on my hair. I let them color it, cut it, and stylist it. They were allowed to do whatever, as long as it was not too difficult, I didn't not want my hair coming out all permanently stained.

All in all, it was a pretty productive time. I find the new stylist I am going to be going to, who does excellent work. I could not be any more impressed.

Ask your friends and neighbors who they think is the top beauty salon in St. Petersburg for you to visit. Just by finding the best price for Woman's haircut can help you save money each month. See how much money you can save over just a short period of time.

7 Reasons Why Eyebrows Are an Important Part of Any Beauty Routine

Sure, we all stray here and there, letting eyebrows pop up where they shouldn't. As we get older, it tends to happen more often since hair starts growing everywhere it's not wanted. Of course, everyone gets tired of waxing and plucking, and there's always that temptation to just let your eyebrows go natural, but you shouldn't. However much work it is, it's vital to keep eyebrows shaped and groomed. Following are seven reasons to keep plucking away:

Eyebrows play a huge role in your overall look. In fact, the shape, color and thickness of your brows can change the way your face looks. Too-thick eyebrows can make your eyes look small, scrunched. Too-thin eyebrows can lend your face a forever surprised expression. No amount of skincare, makeup or wardrobe changes can change your look as much as your eyebrows, making them a basic essential for any beauty routine.
Brows frame your eyes, making them pop or making them fade into the background. The shape and thickness of your bows play a huge role in how noticeable your eyes are. You could have beautiful eyes, but no one's going to see them if they're too busy looking at your bushy brows.
Properly shaped eyebrows make it look like you've put your face on even if you haven't. If you maintain your brows, plucking stray hairs as they come in, you will always put your best face forward regardless of whether or not you wear makeup. Good skin, shaped brows and a little lip gloss is all it takes to look sensational.
Improperly plucked brows can also detract from your beauty. Sparse, misshapen or too-short brows can make a super model look bad. If you think it doesn't matter how you shape, trim or groom, you're mistaken. If you can't do it properly at home, leave your brows to the pros.
Einstein got by with his hair sticking out everywhere, but that doesn't mean it's a good look for your brows. Spiky brows will not make you look smarter. By simply brushing your eyebrows and applying a brow-grooming product, you can change your look from frazzled to dazzling.
Eyes are the gateway to the soul, and they are also the first thing people notice about you. With all that gazing and attention pointed straight at your eyes and brows, who wouldn't want to make them look their best?
If you incorporate eyebrow maintenance into your everyday beauty routine, it will only take a couple of minutes each day to make your brows beautiful. There's good news too. The more you pluck, the less likely hair will grow back, which means that you're making future eyebrow maintenance easier with each pluck.

Eyebrows are an important part of any beauty routine. Don't know where to start? Learn everything you need to know about eyebrows, eyebrow shaping, eyebrow maintenance and even some fun brow tidbits on my website Princesselj's Paradise.

Quick and Simple Out the Door Beauty Look

Are you too tired to put on makeup in the morning because you have been up all night? Are you running late and do not have time to put on makeup, but still want to have a finished look? I have a quick and simple solution for you.

Supplies needed:

After practicing a healthy skin care routine, you can easily complete your look with a little enhancer and look fabulous. You can first start with adding mascara.

There are different types of mascara, depending on the look you are trying to achieve. Determine if you want volume, length, and/ or thick eyelashes. You want mascara that is resistant to flakes, clumps, and smudges. You want a wand that separates the lashes and feels like they are combing the lashes. Discard your mascara after three months to avoid bacteria and to optimize its use. Make sure you have quality mascara that works for you.

Apply mascara to the upper eyelash and then the lower eyelash. Multiple coats can be applied to upper eyelash. Only use one coat on the lower eyelash so there is no "spider" effect.

Protect and enhance your lips with a quality lip gloss. Lips lose their moisture quicker than your face; therefore, if your lips are not properly cared for, they will easily become chapped and dry. You want your lips to feel moisturized as well as give you a marvelous shine. Also, make sure the lip gloss you are using makes your lips smooth and conditions them.

Apply lip gloss to the top and bottom lips. Rub lips together for even distribution of lip gloss.

Concealer is great to use for concealing imperfections on the face. If you have dark circles, blemishes, and/ or age spots, using a great concealer will hide them. You want a concealer that is lightweight and contributes towards evening out your skin tone. Apply the concealer with your ring finger because it is the weakest finger. By using the weakest finger, it is less likely the concealer will wipe off. Select a concealer that is a shade lighter than your normal foundation color/ skin color.
Apply concealer by using your ring finger. Add a small amount of concealer to areas under the eyes with dark circles, areas with blemishes, and areas where there are age spots. Feather the concealer towards your skin to blend in.

Now you are ready to apply what you have learned. It is quick and easy as well as gives you a confident look.

Are you ready for your quick out the door beauty look? Try it today before dropping your child off to school or leaving to work. Great Tips For Helping Your Natural Beauty Shine Through

Each woman possesses true beauty, both inside and out. However, not everyone understands the best methods of enhancing their natural beauty and showcasing it for the world to see. Keep reading the article that follows, and you will have the tools necessary to bring out the best you have to offer.

Nothing substitutes for a balanced diet combined with regular exercise when it comes to looking your best. While you certainly need not deprive yourself of everything you love to eat, making sure you watch your intake of fat and calories can go a long way toward maintaining a healthy and appealing weight. Routine exercise can provide you with the toning, fat loss and strength building you need to get the attractive figure you have always desired.

Sleep is a critical factor when it comes to enhancing your natural beauty. Being deprived of sufficient rest soon takes a toll on your appearance and can lead to dark circles under the eye, a splotchy complexion and a generally haggard visage. Doing whatever you can to get at least seven hours of sleep each night is a great boost to your overall appearance and can help you look your best at all times.

Ensuring proper hydration is an often overlooked beauty secret. Make it a point to drink several glasses of water each and every day to give your skin a healthy glow and to flush your system of harmful toxins. If you are among those who do not typically enjoy drinking plain water, consider adding a squeeze of fresh lemon or using a low or no-calorie flavoring powder. Doing so will make drinking your recommended daily allotment of water much easier than it might otherwise be.

Clothing choice can make all the difference when it comes to projecting the best image possible. All too often, women carrying a bit of extra weight attempt to camouflage their problem areas by wearing oversized clothing. In fact, wearing clothes that are too big only works to exaggerate the problem. Instead, choose garments that actually fit your body as it currently is, and that are tailored to provide a sharp appearance. Smart and savvy clothing choices can actually make you look several pounds lighter than you actually are.

Another terrific way to bring out your confidence and boost your self-esteem is to change your haircut and style. Many women get caught in a rut when it comes to doing their hair and are afraid to try something new. All too often, this leads to a dated, tired appearance that does nothing to enhance natural beauty. To combat this effect, make sure to regularly adjust your hairstyle to something a bit more modern and fun. Those around you are sure to react positively to your willingness to change things up from time to time.

Clearly, some of the best ways to enhance your natural beauty involve things other than costly cosmetics and spa treatments. Rather, by following tips dealing with lifestyle, body maintenance and mental attitude, you are sure to project an image of confidence, beauty and appeal. Keep the above guidance close at hand, and you will always look your very best

Why Choose Organic Beauty Products?

Organic beauty products do not use chemicals that were earlier used by all beauty companies to make cosmetics and other synthetic products. These chemicals were absorbed by the skin and sometimes had adverse effect on the body. Beauty products are in big demand now as everyone wants to look hot and pretty including the children.

Besides being sans chemicals, these organic products are beneficial for your skin in many ways.

Beautiful Aroma

Most of these organic products smell wonderful. They are mostly made from essential oils derived from flowers, fruits or herbs. These products have a natural aroma to them and do not use artificial fragrances that are mostly used in synthetic beauty products.

Some of the common fragrances that could lift your senses would be of lavender, rose, vanilla, papaya, berries and coconut.

No Hidden Ingredients

There would be no hidden ingredients in an organic product as the aroma of it would say it all. If the packaging says 'rose' you could smell the fragrance of it in there.

This is one of the reasons for organic beauty products to be so popular as there are no hidden ingredients in them, you get what you see or rather smell unlike synthetic products where most of us don't even know the chemical names written on the packaging.

Less Expensive

As these products are made from natural ingredients they tend to be less expensive than their counter parts. In fact many of us might be using these ingredients and their mixture whose recipe might have been handed down by your grandmother.

Many ingredients are the ones which we use every day in our kitchens. Honey, turmeric, fruits, almonds etc. are some of the products that have been used for beautifying since ages.

Specific Products for Specific Problems

Organic products offer specific creations for specific problems. For e.g. aloe vera is used for hair care, honey for facials, turmeric and saffron for fairer complexion and coconut oil for smoother skin.

Specific beauty products are created to suit specific skin type and hair.

No Side Effects

Being au natural the organic products do not have any side effects when used. No harsh or harmful chemical is present in these products and it ensures that they are completely safe for you to use.

As almost all ingredients are natural so they help delaying the ageing process and prevent gray hair, wrinkles or discoloration of skin.

At present, refinement salons also incorporate services that are exclusive in establishments such as hair salons and spas. This is why you can also get hair treatments and hair removal treatments at your local beauty salon.

Out of all the different services you can get, however, two of the most popular are the manicure and pedicure services.

What are manicures and pedicures?
Manicures and pedicures are relaxing activities, not only for women, but also for most men. Most people get manicures and pedicures whenever they go to beauty salons. They believe that having their hands and feet massaged, and nails clipped, shaped, and painted, can make them feel good about themselves. Who can blame them? Feeling the softness and smoothness of your hands and feet, and seeing your nails clean and painted, can make you feel confident and beautiful.

Manicures are treatments for your hands, which includes your fingernails and cuticles, and usually involves the application of nail polish. Pedicures, on the other hand, are treatments for your feet, which includes your toenails and the removal of your calluses, if any.

Other than manicures and pedicures, beauty salons with nail salons can also offer you nail enhancements and skin care services. They can also offer you different products for your nail care, such as acrylics, silk or fibreglass wraps, and nail polish.

To help you know the full range of services a nail salon can give you, here is a list of them:
- Manicure treatments
- Pedicure treatments
- Acrylic overlays and extensions
- UV gel overlays and extensions
- Silk of fibreglass overlays and extensions
- Acrylic and UV gel sculpted extensions
- Nail art

The most popular among these nail salon services is nail art, wherein a nail technician draws pictures or designs on your fingernails.

You can learn about the other types of beauty salon services by going online and visiting websites related to beauty care, like http://www.morphquarters.com/.

Essential Beauty Tips for the Ladies

No woman would want to be caught looking their worst. For this reason, women strive to make sure that they maintain their beauty throughout the day. It comes as no surprise, therefore, that women are so willing to spend thousands of dollars on cosmetics, Botox, and other expensive beauty treatments just to stay young and beautiful. However, for those with a meager salary, you don't have to drive yourself into bankruptcy with these costly beauty treatments.

Just follow the tips that we have for you below and you'll see yourself blossoming like a flower without having to break your bank in the process...

Facial Care Tips

If there's any part of the body that women take painstaking care of, it is definitely the face. If you want to preserve beautiful facial skin, you will need to observe four specific aspects of facial skin care, namely cleansing, exfoliation, toning, and moisturizing.

Cleansing is arguably the most important part of your beauty routine because before you do anything else, you will need to rid your face of dirt, oils and others that may cause damage to your skin. First, wash your face with mild soap and lukewarm water. To remove the dirt that the soap was not able to remove, apply cleansing cream and wipe it off. Never forget to remove your makeup. The next step is exfoliation, wherein you remove the dead skin cells at the surface of your skin. To exfoliate, use facial scrubs that contain tiny beads or grains or gentle face peel. Finally, cap up your facial routine with toning and moisturizing. Use a toner or an astringent to get rid of all remaining dirt and oils. Seal in your pores with a moisturizer that is suitable for your skin type. One last thing! If you are leaving the house, make sure that you apply sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.

Hair Care Tips

Next to their faces, women are obsessed with their hair. Some would go to the beauty salon to have it dyed, rebonded or treated in an assortment of ways, not knowing that these same treatments can ultimately lead to split ends, dry hair and other hair problems. The most basic of hair care tips is to wash your hair regularly with the shampoo and conditioner that is right for your hair type. When we say "regularly", this would depend again on your hair type and your daily activities. If you are frequently on the go or stay outside the house for long periods, you will need to shampoo your hair daily. If you are just a homebody, it is enough to wash your hair every other day or even once a week. Make sure that you eat a nutritious diet that is rich in proteins, iron, calcium and silica to help prevent hair loss. It is preferable to air dry your hair instead of blow drying it, because blow dryers can suck out the moisture in your hair, making it prone to dryness and brittleness. Never brush your hair when it is wet because it is very fragile in this state and will most likely break or fall out from the roots. Once your hair is dry, comb it out by first separating it into smaller sections. Using a wide-toothed comb, get rid of all the tangles. Switch to a wood or tortoise shell comb when you reach the ends.

Hand and Foot Care

While women put great effort into taking care of their hair and face, they often neglect to take care of their hands and feet. To keep your hands soft and supple, rub moisturizing creams on them to prevent cracking, peeling, and roughness. Give yourself a manicure every week to keep your fingernails looking neat and pretty. If your nails chip and split, you need consider using a nail hardener. When it comes to the feet, pamper them once a week with a foot bath. Take a basin filled with warm water and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and bath salts. Soak your feet in this mixture for 15 minutes. Scrub away all dirt and exfoliated skin. Rinse your feet off with cold water and dry them off with a towel.

Beach Beauty - Tips for Maintaining the Glam While Soaking Up the Sun

Looking your best at the beach is an issue we all struggle with- unless, that is, you're willing to awkwardly doggy paddle in circles in an attempt to keep your mascara from running. Fortunately, advancements in today's cosmetics industry allow us to embrace our day at the beach with as much poise as we would anywhere else. Waterproof products keep your makeup intact even in the harshest of conditions and new forms of sun protection allow for a near perfect complexion.

Waterproof mascara is a must in beach makeup. You can find this product in high-end department stores, beauty shops and even drug stores. Most of these products will get the job done, however not all waterproof mascaras are created equal. Consider a product like MAC's Splashproof Lash for your day at the beach to compliment your glowing skin. This product stays true to its name and will stay in place but I wouldn't recommend it for everyday use. There is some difficulty in removing it, but thankfully there are other options out there, like clear mascara that offers lift and volume without the worries of smudging.

Mascara is not the only thing that comes in waterproof form these days. Eyeliner has been formulated to do the same thing, though there aren't many that can withstand an entire day at the beach. Most waterproof eyeliners are designed to stay put under conditions of oily skin and perspiration. You won't find an eyeliner advertising its ability to remain in place after being submerged in water, however, I found a product that does just that and it's called Liquid Last Liner by MAC Cosmetics. I always wear this liner to the beach and it has proven to withstand sun, sweat, salt water and sunscreen every time.

Consider using a lip stain to add a bit of color to your lips. The good thing about lip stains is that they are long lasting as they literally do stain your lips for much longer than lipstick or gloss. Lip stains can be found in your local drugstore or department stores, however I find the drug store versions are very similar to more expensive brands. In addition to a lip stain, don't forget a good lip protection balm with SPF like Burt's Bees or Carmex. They will not only protect your sensitive lip skin, but will also add a little shine.

Most of us aren't too picky about the way our skin looks at the beach, but if you should feel so inclined to improve on the appearance of your face, consider Peter Thomas Roth's Bronze Instant Mineral SPF 30. This powdered formula comes with a brush for easy application and offers great protection from the sun. The powder absorbs oil allowing for a matte look and a light tinted shimmer gives your skin some radiance. The downside is that it will come off in the water so layer it with an oil-free water resistant sunscreen and reapply after patting your face dry.

Now the key to wearing makeup to the beach is to look like you're not wearing makeup, so use these products sparingly. A little will go along way and, in the end, remember that the beach is like a safe haven, a therapeutic atmosphere to relax and feel comfortable in your own skin. So if you find this regiment a little overwhelming, no problem. Try settling on one product first and see how you like it.

The 10 Beauty Products You Didn't Even Know You Needed!

AppId is over the quota

10. JOLIE LIPS - Aptly named after infamous Saint, Celebrity, Superstar, Queen of the World, Angelina Jolie, this device is no ordinary lip gloss or injection that plumps up your lips. It's a lip pump that claims to dramatically increase lip size without costing you a fortune!

MeThinks: B+, Not too shabby!

PROS:

Actually plumps lips about 1.5 times the natural sizeLasts 1 to 5 hoursGood alternative if you can't afford lip injectionsMore dramatic than plumping lip glosses

CONS:

Temporary effectLip injections can increase lip size a lot more for a fuller, sexier pout, and they last monthsBruising around lips if you suction often - can look like you did something seriously naughty or someone punched you in the face

9. NOOGLEBERRY - Another pump! But this one's for your boobs! This device, the younger and quirkier sister of the BRAVA system (which, by the way doesn't work as well), has some devoted followers who claim that using the noogleberry daily for several hours a day - or noogling - has increased their breast cup size from an AA to a D! (cue: jaw drops to the floor) Yes, you read that correctly: an AA cup to a D.

For all you men - Noogleberry has a Penis Pump too!

MeThinks: A, It works!

PROS:

Breast size can be increased dramatically (over 3 cup sizes)Effect is long lasting - can last days, weeks, or even months if you stop pumping (although may shrink slightly)No need for a boob job, a.k.a. no knives or injectionsMuch cheaper than a boob job

CONS:

Very time consuming - must be noogling several hours a day, everyday; and you won't get a very good night sleep if you're wearing it at nightTemporary - the effect will slowly decrease, but you'll still have a bigger cup size than you started off; boob jobs are permanentCan cause pain to area around breast, especially if your skinnyCups cause a red line around your boobs, for some this is long lasting

8. FROWNIES - Ahah! Finally, botox in a box! These facial patches can be applied to your skin to reduce wrinkles. Just wet your skin, and apply the patch!

MeThinks: C+, Not so great.

PROS:

Work moderately well - For those wrinkles that have just formed or are minimal, these work. They can also prevent wrinkles from occurring. No injections, knives, pain, or tow-trucks involvedMuch cheaper than botox (meaning you don't have to sell a kidney for up-keep)

CONS

Effects are temporary - obviously doesn't last months like botoxMust wear them for atleast 3 hours - I mean seriously, who wants to walk around with a band-aid like thing... or show up in bed with someone wearing these? Baby you got wrinkles? Real sexy... Doesn't work as well as botox - especially if you've got deep wrinkles, don't waste your money.

7. NOSE SECRET - Can't afford rhinoplasty? No worries! Nose Secret can fix it! These nose clips claim they're an "instant nose correction that works!"

MeThinks: C, Skip it.

PROS

Work for some noses, i.e. droopy ones - can lift up your noseCheaper than rhinoplasty

CONS

Doesn't stay on well - slides aroundRhinoplasty offers more permanent and refined alteration to your noseMight damage or cause pain to your boogar barrier a.k.a. nose

6. TUNG BRUSH - This baby claims to cure bad breath. Quite a big claim there, honey. But seriously though - bad breath or not, everyone should clean their tongues.

MeThinks: A-, Get it, for hygeine's sake.

PROS:

Cleans your tongue wellCan eliminate odors coming from your tongueComes with a gel to use on your tongue as well

CONS:

I mean, technically, you could just use a toothbrush on your tongue and not have bad breath.Bristles may be too tough for some people

2. AERIOLA DYE - Are your aeriola not the perfect shade of pretty pink? Well don't worry, just put on some of Benifit's Balm and it'll add color to your aeriola.

MeThinks: B, Some people need it, others don't.

PROS

Interesting product - if someone is really unhappy with their aeriola color then good to know there's a product like this out there.Cheaper than getting your private part tattoodNo pain at all

CONS

1. MY NEW PINK BUTTON LABIA DYE- Finally the number 1 product that you didn't know you needed: My New Pink Button's Labia Dye. This product is easy to use, and claims to "restore the youthful pink color back to your labia." With 3 different colors cheekily named Marilyn, Bette, Audry, and Ginger, your bound to get a teensy bit offended by the sexism and racism being projected by this product.

MeThinks: B+, It works, and I don't care if you think I'm shallow for using it - I like to have my choices.

PROS

It works! My labia is a pretty pink button!Claims to be safe for use on your private areaI bet it could work on your aeriola as wellVariety - this product represents American culture; you can buy it if you want it, and it's good to know you have a choice of changing the color of your labiaDifferent colors - Marilyn's the lightest, Audry is a "bold burgundy pink," Bette is for "dressy black tie affairs," and Ginger was "developed for women of color."

CONS

Safety can't truly be guaranteed - it's a relatively new product, so it's a wait and see situationYou don't need it (but again, good to know there's a choice)May project sexism (in addition to wearing makeup, waxing, plucking, tweezing, we have to dye our labia too?) and racism (are darker labia's not pretty?)

The Dark Side Of Beauty - 4 Night Skincare Tips For A Younger Look

AppId is over the quota

Women make non stop crazy efforts to keep their skin healthy and radiant. Skincare begins with just washing your face with clear water to applying nourishing masks to buying expensive cosmetics and sometimes going to beauty care centers and even go as further as surgery or injections. But there is a dark side of the skincare routine - the one we can't see because it takes place in the night when we are sleeping.

Skin cells revitalising is at its highest peak between 11 pm and 4 am. This is the time when all the nourishing ingredients and vitamins are completely absorbed in the skin. But this is only true if we are sleeping. Staring at the computer or watching TV in the wee hours won't do any good even if we apply the strongest and most efficient anti aging product. The reason for this is a hormone called cortisol - it is a result of being awake through the night. Cortisol is known to ruin skin cells. We want the opposite effect - for regenerating the epidermis we need the growth hormone, but it is produced only during a 7-8 hour long sleep of full value.

Here is how we can take the maximum positive effect out of the dark side of life.

Night shower

Stay under the shower or in a hot bathtub for 20 minutes every evening. This will deep clean your skin and will help the pores open. After that your skin will be ready for a rich nourishing night cream. You can apply more generously than the day cream.

Night care

The effect of the night cream is much stronger because it doesn't have to compete against sun rays, dirt and decorative cosmetics. Take the retinoids for example. Advanced anti wrinkle creams have retinoids in them but under the sun they can lead to pigmentation. So you can't use them during day time. Cosmetics that have Vitamin A and Vitamin E in them are most efficient if applied a couple of hours before going to bed.

Natural moisturizing

Dermatologists often advice us to use hydrating cream for the day and nourishing cream for the night. But there are other ways to keep our skin hydrated. A good decision is to put an air humidifier in the bedroom. But don't forget to clean it regularly especially if you suffer from some kind of allergy.

Pillows

Our sleeping position is very important when it comes to skin rejuvenation. Sleeping on your back or on your right side is believed to be the best for maximum rest and beauty results. If you love to sleep on your belly with a face buried in your pillow don't be surprised in the morning when you see your puffy eyes.

Don't forget to change your pillow case regularly, ideally once every 3-4 days because your skin has direct contact with it for at least 6-7 hours every night.

I love doing little things to keep my body and face beautiful and young looking. To read more tips and information about skincare products please go to my blog - http://idrotherapyreview.blogspot.com/
